Note: Abenda’s writing of 2001 Abenda’s Writing -- September 17, 2001 Opening comments by Dick Sutphen: Several people have asked us why Abenda didn’t warn of the attacks. Please understand that those on the other side do not necessarily have access to such information, and even if they did they might not be able to share it. Maybe Abenda would have advised that we not board one of the planes destined to be highjacked. But even then, if it was our karma to have been there, I doubt she could have shared that information. Yet many months before the energy crisis, Abenda warned us that it would unfold exactly as it did. Another consideration: Abenda has explained that she does not want Tara to be in a position where the press or the government seek her out in any way. That is not her dharma. And according to Abenda, “You are to help those who are interested in helping themselves.” I assume this means to teach karmic awareness, which is the core of the Abenda material. In 1997 and 1998 (The “New Day Seminars” in California cities and the “Five-Day Preparedness Seminar” in Missoula, Montana) Abenda warned of terrorists attacks and hard times to come. She wanted us to move to Montana to distance ourselves from these events. But after extended soul searching and logical considerations we decided to remain with the rest of our large family in the Los Angeles area. All of this information and the preparedness articles remained on this Website for two years. If there is enough interest, we’ll repost some of the more pertinent material.
Abenda writing received by Tara Sutphen, September 17, 2001: Following personal writing, Abenda had this to say about the attacks: “Remind your readers that quality of life is far more important to their karmic well-being than quantity of life. Do not be afraid. Be aware and whole hearted. Extend your kindness to others. “The terrorist attacks have been set into motion for some time. There are many sick people who prey upon the innocent. Karma comes into play. Everyone who died knew that they would transfer to our world -- meaning the astral world. And they will all play an individual part to teach others of compassion, strength, beauty and unconditional love. No one escapes death, but few really get a chance to teach strong lessons. Those who died will be teachers for many, many years to come. It is their legacy and their blessing. They died for their purpose -- their dharma. They offer a gift even in the wake of great tragedy. “Look to the streets and see the people being empathetic to their neighbors. The loss of the American ideal is your country’s loss. But if you can alter your viewpoint, you’ll realize that you are truly living the American ideal of brotherhood. And most of the world is dismayed by such events. It was an act that affected all people of the world. September 11th was a day when the world was small. “Again, the world will expand, stretch, grow. There will be more chaos, more terrorism I’m sorry to say. Prepare yourselves to help others. It might be you in a time of need -- your family and friends. Do not hesitate, your time to act is now. “There will be different areas affected by these terrorists. You must be careful with water sources and large crowds. Your water supply is the most vulnerable. Be conscious -- be alert. Make sure there are precautions in your areas. It is not only the United States but all of the Western world that is under attack. The next attack may be averted in the US and happen in another country. “There are many terrorist groups and though the mad bin Laden is at large, he will not be the only person orchestrating these barbaric acts. There are far more sinister minds at work behind the scenes. So it will take some doing, to get them out into the light of scrutiny. “The United States will act responsibly in it’s response to the terrorists -- with good intent and there will not be a full war as a result. There will be many changes in the laws and your country will lose many freedoms. Big Brother will establish his place among the families of America. As needed, curfews and new rules will be enacted. In time, everyone will adapt, but that in itself is an undesirable potential. Repression will come in waves. Americans who so revere freedom will now fear too much freedom. “The world is a beautiful place with a few bad people to create lessons and havoc. Be of the beautiful people. Abenda’s Automatic Writing -- November 11, 1997 On November 11, 1997, Tara asked Abenda, “What is the best advice you can give people at this time?” This writing was shared with the “New Day” participants. The seminar was conducted in several California cities. “The advice I recommend at this time is to have the courage to secure your life. Only you can help yourself in any matter of emergency. Of course, there is no need to panic. You’ll begin to notice the warnings now, if you’re receptive. It is time to be aware. “You have come into this society knowing, on a subconscious level, that you need to experience the lessons the changes will bring to you. The potential problems Richard points out to you are not far-fetched, but the natural repercussions of a world out of balance. On earth, there has never been a stable time. This is a school, not the utopia that humans long to attain. There is such a place, but it is not of the earth. You will all experience that reality when you’ve evolved to the appropriate level of awareness. It takes many earthly sojourns to attain the peace and understanding at which you can accept the reward of enrichment and enlightenment. “The earth game is one of hunger, thirst, desire, gratification, shelter, joy, and pain. Through participation, you eventually obtain the strength to gain the peace and understanding that will allow you to make the transition. Your karma is elevated by lessons learned and through the expression of compassion. “When opportunities present themselves, how do you respond? You may not need to be of service to strangers or groups. But nurture those close to you. Take the time to teach them to help themselves. And more than ever before, it is time to be of concern about planet earth. “What is to come will not be an end to civilization, or of the earth. It is the cleansing of earth. And with this cleansing will come changes in your lifestyle. You need to become proficient in some of the old ways. Look back 80 years -- the early years of this century. Those people lived well. The strongest survived. You are chosen as the strong ones, mentally, physically and spiritually. You will not be overwhelmed by events, if you prepare. Each event will make you more independent of society. That is all. Nothing more, nothing less.” In oneness, Abenda |
