While I’m sharing testimonials, I also appreciated these words from Kathy Lynn Douglas: “The Zapper series are the fastest-acting and most profoundly effective psychoactive sound CDs I have ever used, and I use many. Reactions to the Zapper continue to come in as the CD continues to gain a wider audience.

Richard’s workshop was the best attended at the 2001 American Board of Hypnotherapy Convention in Newport Beach, CA. As usual, during his keynote talk to open the convention, he had the 600-plus hypnotists laughing at his latest hypnosis-related stories. During a serious part of the talk, he introduced the latest mind-electronics experiment.  (In the two previous years he has introduced the “Zapper” and “Enhancer”.) This year it was the “Hypnotic Brain Bird.”

First you hear it over your left ear, then in your forehead, then your right ear, etc. Anyway, this circling bird spins you right down into deep hypnosis. I listened with headphones and couldn’t believe how fast I dropped to theta, but this trippy CD is not for everyone. This CD will be available at the beginning of June.

In March, Jason McKean premiered his short film titled “Seconds,” which is really, really funny. Jason plays Jesus visiting a San Fernando Valley home for dinner. It’s only 12 minutes long and will probably be seen on one of the entertainment websites. I’ll keep you posted.

British alt-rock singer Karling Abbeygate and her boyfriend producer Donnie Whitbeck visited us in February, while showcasing new material in LA coffeehouses. The couple had been hiding away for months working on a third album and needed to get away from the studio and play some music. While in LA they made some great contacts and Karling appeared in an independent film as a cafe singer. As I write this, she is working on a song requested by Universal. My girlfriend Dianette Strange raced in the Eco-Challenge SABAH 2000 with her husband Brian. Their team and participation was featured on the TV show, “48 Hours.” Dianette also raced in the Iditasport -- 130 miles of the Alaska Iditarod trail in February 2001 in preparation for participation in the upcoming 2001 Eco-Challenge to be held on South Island, New Zealand.  (www.teamcureparkinsons.com) She is courageous and strong, and looking for sponsorship for a race in Switzerland this year. I’m always holding my breath during her dynamic feats.
