We're new to Web communications, but Richard and I are delighted to have an opportunity to explore this form of communication with those who have read our books, attended our seminars, retreats and workshops, or used our tapes. In launching this site, we don't know how it will evolve, but we envision an ongoing exchange with readers, seminar attendees and listeners. I hope seminar attendees will send us stories about their experiences and copies of photos taken at the seminars so we can post them here at the "notebook." |

Since the Internet also offers instant world-wide access, we'd also like to hear from our workshop friends in Ireland, England and Australia. I will be posting new communications from Abenda on a regular basis—an extension of my "Cause & Effect" column in Soaring Spirit, plus general teachings and advice from the other side. I can't answer "Cause & Effect" letters online, due to the volume of mail and our heavy seminar and writing schedules. But I invite you to send questions via snail-mail to Box 38, Malibu CA 90265. Abenda and I use psychometric telepathy as a touchstone to make a connection with the person asking the question. Even if a letter is typed or printed out on a computer, your signature is a connection. A stronger connection can be made with a photograph, but photos can't be returned. |

Some of the latest news
from our edge of the world In September, Richard finished writing and recording a six-tape album for Nightingale Conant, the big Chicago tape company that is known best for it's business communications. But in the past few years they've been releasing more New Age material from people like Deepak Chopra, M.D., Wayne Dyer and Stuart Wilde. Richard's album is tentatively titled, The Mind-Travel Concept, and it is planned for 1999 release. During the summer, he wrote and recorded 12 different self-help titles for a new line of With Your Spirit Guide's Help tapes. Each title calls upon your primary spirit guide to help you accomplish a goal such as Lose Weight, Open & Charge Your Aura, Heal Your Body, Remain Disease Free, Fulfill Your Earthly Purpose, Walk In The Light and several other common quests. They're planned for January release. |

As usual, Steven Sutphen is producing the tapes, which assures a creative and technically top-quality product. I always enjoy watching father and son work together so easily—each respecting the other's area of expertise. And together generating a superior result. On a freelance basis, Steven works as a producer with some of L.A.'s up and coming bands. He also works with his own music and is in the process of starting a record label—"Red Cat Records." Steve and his fiancée Megahn Perry, plan to get married in 1999. Richard and I are delighted, and their combined astrology indicates a "soulmate union." Megahn is an actress who has often appeared on TV shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dawson's Creek. She'll be in several upcoming episodes of Wind on Water, and preparing for her upcoming film, Don't Blink. |

After we all worked with a big Texas Website company to create the Valley of the Sun site, our resident artist/art director/musician, Jason McKean (my brother) decided he could create a Website all on his own, and you're viewing the result. In addition to designing all our packaging, creating our ads, and the graphic side of Soaring Spirit magazine, Jason has a band called The Existers. The group has released three albums, and a fourth title is nearing completion. Other people you've asked about in letters: Don Tinling is now going to art school and participating in 400-mile bicycle races. Richard wrote about Don in Earthly Purpose, and in the past he has helped us conduct the Sedona Psychic Seminar. For awhile he offered individual past-life regression in the Los Angeles area, but gave it up to work in the film industry. I'll post a recent photo of Don, taken when he stopped by the house to use the phone while bicycling from Santa Barbara to LA. I'll also post one of my recent favorite photos of Don's sister, Therese with Richard at Jason's August birthday party. Therese is a dear friend, an editor and actress, who has often helped us out on book projects. Also, see the photo of Therese and Jason at the same party. |
