I'll begin with a few words about my long Website vacation. From mid-May through July we were in the UK -- London to participate in the Mind Body Spirit Festival, then June and July in Scotland, where we leased an apartment in Edinburgh. Richard posted a daily "Road Diary" from the UK sharing almost all our activities and experiences. For me to have written this column would have been a repeat. When we returned home we were immediately on the seminar circuit. At this time it also became apparent that having Valley of the Sun's order fulfillment handled by an outside fulfillment company in Oregon was no longer workable. Setting up the new operation has taken a lot of 16 hours days between seminars, but everything is finally operational. The fulfillment center is now located in new space near our California editorial offices. From now on orders will be handled fast and accurately. It feels as if we've been on "fast forward" since we arrived home, especially when compared to the peace and serenity we experienced in Scotland. (If you're interested in the travel journal, you'll find it at "Articles.") Highlights of August and September were the 7-Day Flight to Freedom Retreat in Lake Arrowhead, CA, plus the Sedona Advanced Experimental Seminar, and most important, Steven Sutphen's and Megahn Perry's wedding on Sept. 11. Steve is Richard's third son, who handles Valley of the Sun and Red Ball on Blue Water sound/video production. His company is Red Cat Records in Hollywood. Megahn Perry is a TV and film actress. Megahn's father creates sets for the TV/film industry, and for the wedding he transformed a rooftop in downtown Hollywood into a lovely chapel. The wedding took place at night overlooking the lights of Hollywood, with the mountains silhouetted against the darkening sky. Palm trees swayed gently in the warm breeze. Megahn wore satin and taffeta and Steven and his best men wore tuxedos. It was magical. |
