Transitional Times: What follows is a condensed look at some of the major prophecies and other "end time" potentials. In an attempt to be fair, I've included a cross section of the key concepts, although I'm personally unconcerned with pole shifts, comets, and California falling into the sea. I am concerned with the high probability of an economic depression, terrorist activities, natural disasters, and war. These threats alone are enough reason to establish a preparedness program, which is the reason I'm sharing this information at a metaphysical website like ours. In an extreme crisis, grocery stores will run out of food and disaster conditions will compound: no heat, no electricity, no clean water, no gas, and no employment. And that's just the beginning of the problems. Related information follows. First, A Condensed Look @ Prophecy
Will Arab Terrorists Dozens of prophets, both ancient and contemporary have predicted World War III. Most have foreseen a conflict beginning with Arab terrorism. Many predict an alliance of Western European nations, the US and Russia versus China and three (or more) Arab nations. The Book of Revelation seems clear about where World War III will start: "The voice said to the sixth angel, 'Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River!' The four angels were released; for this very hour of this very day of this very month and year they had been kept ready to kill a third of all mankind." (The Euphrates River is in IRAQ.) Stormberger predicted in the 18th century: "And after the second great struggle between the nations will come a third universal conflagration, which will determine everything. There will be entirely new weapons. In one day more men will die than in all previous wars combined. Battles will be fought with artificial guns. Gigantic catastrophes will occur. With open eyes will the nations of the Earth enter into these catastrophes. They shall not be aware of what is happening and those who will know and tell, will be silenced. Everything will become different than before, and in many places the Earth will be a great cemetery. The third great war will be the end of many nations." The Prophecy of LaSalette (1846): "The peace among men which will set in after the great scourge (probably World War II) will be only an ostensible peace. During this period the Earth will shake because of manifold concessions and convulsions. Mankind will experience continuous war, which finally will lead to the last great war." Nostradamus appears to have predicted that seven years prior to the end of the century, alliances would be drawn for World War III--Russia and the US. versus three Arab nations, which will find support from the "East" (North Korea or China). John Hogue in his book, The Millennium Book of Prophecy: (referring to an Edgar Cayce prediction of the rise of powers on the Middle East) "The period is of the 1990s. The Davis Strait is between Canada and Greenland. The land therefore is most likely Russia, to which aid is being shipped from America. By abandoning Communism, Russia is rapidly fulfilling collective prophecies that place it as America's ally in the coming Third World War to be fought mainly over Palestine. Cayce may be warning us to watch for terrorists or political adventurers based in Libya, Egypt, and Syria who might be preparing for that war of Armageddon. Cayce clearly specifies the West's major oil shipping lanes and the Persian Gulf as vulnerable future targets." (See The Bible Code feature in this issue.) Ezekiel, Chapter 38 claims the great battle of Armageddon will be fought on the plains of Palestine. Nostradamus: "Suddenly vengeance will be revealed coming from a hundred hands. In the sky will be seen a fire dragging a trail of sparks. Hunger, plague war . . ." The Prophecy of Warsaw is a document written by a Polish monk in 1720. He accurately predicted many major world events up until now. The following prediction appears to be keyed to the turn of the century: " . . . Financial disasters and ruin of property will cause many tears to fall . . . . Almost the whole world will be turned upside down. Men will be without sanity and without piety. There shall be poisonous clouds, and rays which can burn more deeply than the equatorial sun, armies on the march encased in iron, flying ships full of terrible bombs and arrows, and flying stars with sulfuric fire which destroy whole cities in an instant." "There will come in the year 2000 the day of the Lord, who will judge both the living and the dead. Stars and comets will fall from above, the Earth will be set ablaze with lightning, and the old Earth will pass away." (Maybe the comets falling from above are missiles; the lightning, nuclear flashes.) The Prophecy of Passau is from Germany and dates back at least a century. It seems to be describing a nuclear winter: "A winter will come, darkness for three days, lightning, thunder and cleft in the earth . . . A poisonous breath will fill the night with dust. Black pestilence, the worst human battle . . ." 100 Russian Nuclear "Suitcase" Alexander Lebed, former Russian general and top security advisor to Boris N. Yeltsin claims that of the 250 atomic suitcase bombs manufactured by the former Soviet Union, 100 are missing. The story was reported in the September 9, 1997 issue of the Los Angeles Times and Lebed was interviewed on CBS-TV's "60 Minutes." The general said the devices are ideal terrorist weapons, because the 1-kiloton bombs can be armed and detonated by one person in 30 minutes. The suitcase containers measure only 23" by 16" by 8" and are capable of destroying a medium-size city. In closing, the former general added, "We should realize that a moron with such a device in New York is 'great fun' for all of humankind." 30,000 Nuclear Weapons The Soviet Union splintered into independent republics while in possession of 30,000 nuclear weapons and 40,000 tons of chemical weapons. There are also thousands of soviet scientists who know how to make these weapons and some are known to be working in Iraq and Iran. The week of August 18, 1997, President Clinton called upon the Russian government to put a stop to this. But realistically, this is not in their power. Consider how irrational Arab leaders have been in the past, and how much they hate Israel and the United States. Then consider how easy it would be to smuggle a few suitcases into this country--each to a different city, set to go off on the same day, same time. Ballistic Missiles For Sale In his book, Nostradamus 1999 (Llewellyn), Stephan Paulus presents some more frightening data: The Republic of Kazakhstan had control of 1,000 nuclear warheads when the Soviet Union disintegrated. The Russian Foreign Intelligence Agency has since reported that "several" of these warheads have been traded to Iran for oil and money. The Finnish newspaper Iltalehti has reported on an undercover investigation conducted with British and German journalists. Posing as nuclear weapon buyers they met a dealer in Moscow and were given a sample of weapons-grade plutonium as evidence of the dealer's ability to deliver. "You want to buy. We can sell. We can let you have as much plutonium as you want," he is quoted as saying. In ten days he could deliver enough plutonium to make three or four simple fission bombs of the size dropped on Japan to end World War II. The journalists were also offered two intercontinental ballistic SS-20 missiles with nuclear warheads. As Paulus says, "Now, if these are the offers being made to individual Western Europeans, who obviously do not represent their governments, what kind of deals are countries like Iran getting?" On January 27, 1996, Libyan leader Kaddafi called on Arab countries to acquire nuclear weapons. "The Arabs, who are threatened by Israel, have a right to buy nuclear weapons in any way possible," he said. The Profound Revelations of In 1975, Dannion Brinkley died for 28 minutes--the longest any human being has been on the other side and come back to tell about it. While in spirit, Dannion claims to have been shown 117 boxes of knowledge displaying future events. In the first three years following his recovery, nothing happened. Then in 1978, the events he had foreseen began to transpire. In the 18 years since his NDE, 95 of these events have taken place as foreseen, including the collapse of Russia, the Chernobyl disaster, and Desert Storm. A full account of Dannion's experiences are described in his book, Saved By The Light. The Revelations 1) Israel is isolated from the rest of the world, preparing for war against a Chinese-and-Arab consortium. An incident in Jerusalem triggers the war. He also foresaw the Syrians and Chinese secretly signing papers and shaking hands in 1992. (NOTE: The Bible Code says that Syria will launch a nuclear attack on Israel resulting in an "atomic holocaust" and World War III.) 2) ". . . horrible turmoil by the turn of the century, one that resulted in a new world order that was truly one of feudalism and strife." Dannion describes the bankruptcy of America around the year 2000. 3) "But the end of America as a world power came as visions of two horrendous earthquakes . . ." These are to happen before the end of the century. Among the visions associated with the financial collapse and earthquakes, was one of Americans starving and lined up for food. 4) "Box eleven began with Iran and Iraq in possession of nuclear and chemical weapons." Dannion goes on to describe modern cities crumbling beneath the weight of warfare, and desperate citizens were eating their own dead. 5) The last visions related to a horrible war in a hundred places at once. The world was filled with fighting and chaos. "People were starving in this vision. They were begging for food on the streets, holding out bowls and cups and even their hands in hopes that someone or something would offer them a scrap to eat." But the "Being of Light" who delivered this vision to Dannion, also offered hope, saying, "If you change, you can avoid the coming war. But if you follow this dogma, the world by the year 2004 will not be the same one you now know." The Millennium Book of Prophecy Excerpt: "The supersystem of agriculture will be totally disrupted. Even a regional nuclear war could be enough to undermine civilization. The smoke plume from a regional Armageddon in South Asia or the Middle East or even a small nuking of the Koreas could effect enough changes in rain fall patterns to disrupt the Asian rice crop or America's grain belt, causing a breakdown of food systems. "Even a small superpower exchange in a 'surgical nuclear war,' which targets only military installations and fuel storage, could be all that is needed to unleash enough smoke to cause widespread freezing and destroy the world's crops for a whole year." Ruth Montgomery & Edgar Cayce In 1936, Sleeping Prophet Edgar Cayce declared a shift of the earth's axis had already begun. Sixty years later, geologists have confirmed that since 1900 the Earth's core has apparently rotated a quarter of a turn more than the surface. Somewhere between 1998 and 2012, the final adjustment will result in new polar positions. According to archaeologist Frank Hibben at the University of New Mexico, there have been 171 prior magnetic reversals of the earth poles. According to both Edgar Cayce and Ruth Montgomery's spirit guides, a pole shift sunk Lemuria in the Pacific Ocean. The Likely Results of a Pole Shift: Thousand-foot tidal waves, traveling a thousand miles an hour, will devastate coastal regions and in many areas travel hundreds of miles inland. Within moments, in the areas rotating to become the new poles, the temperature will drop to sub-zero and people will quickly freeze to death. Devil winds traveling at the same speed will howl across the sea along with the tidal waves then continue across the continents, flattening buildings and trees. Volcanoes will erupt all over the world. The higher atmosphere will be contaminated, creating a nuclear winter. Yet those in caves, underground in dry areas, or in sturdy homes in valleys will escape the winds, and if prepared to survive, will become pioneers of a new age. The Warning Signs. Ruth Montgomery's spirit guides tell us what will precede the shift: The weather will become increasingly violent, with heavy snowfalls, strong gales and increased humidity. The 1990s have registered some of the most violent weather on record. Several recent winters have broken records all over the country, including the greatest snowfall in a century in some locations. The super-powerful "greenhouse hurricanes" seem to have arrived sooner than expected according to some scientists. Cayce warned that volcanic activity at Mt. Pelee on the Caribbean island of Martinique would preceed earth changes in California, Nevada and Utah by three months or less. Then the pole shift would follow. The August 1997 eruption of the volcano on Montserrat is only a hundred miles from the island of Martinique. Forecasters are predicting that Pelee can go at any time. According to Ruth Montgomery's guides, the pole shift will occur "in the twinkling of an eye." Kryon's Predictions In The End Times, the first book of the bestselling Kryon series of channeled writings, Kryon talks about the forthcoming magnetic shift that will be completed by 2002. He explains that "those who are not ready will not be able to deal with it." When asked if mass termination will be necessary in order to achieve balance, Kryon answered, "Yes." Among those who will die, will be those with "absolutely no hope whatsoever of achieving any greater enlightenment than they already have..." Frequency Acceleration The September 1997 issue of The New Times carries an article on the "The New Millennium" by Annaliese Kohinoor-Hagan and Ariana Khen. Their words seem to echo the Kryon writings: "The earth's magnetic field is becoming less dense. Airports are changing their directional markers as Magnetic north is shifting." The authors also talk about an accelerating frequency: "The heartbeat of our planet, known as the Hertz cycle, is rapidly increasing. Historically, the earth's vibration has been 7.8 cycles per second, and by 1994 this frequency had escalated to 8.6 Hz. This year the Hertz frequency is hovering between 10 Hz and 11 Hz; it is in expected to stabilize around 13 Hz in the early of the new millennium. Nostradamus' Final Predictions In Nostradamus 1999 (Llewllyn) Stephan Paulus analyzes the final predictions of Nostradamus and adds scientific data to explain the full meaning of such events: According to Nostradamus, on August 11, 1999, during a full solar eclipse, a comet will be seen for the first time approaching earth from behind the sun. The following month, the earth will pass through the comet's tail of debris. Contained in the tail will be a fragment a quarter mile in diameter, which will strike the earth in the Atlantic Ocean, penetrating several miles into the crust. (Note: relating this to the end times described in the Book of Revelation in the Bible, and the opening of the seven seals and the seven trumpets: with the blowing of the second trumpet "a huge mountain of fire was thrown into the sea." Remember, the future is written as the past. A fireball of from 50 to 100 miles in diameter will result. Everything within hundreds of miles will instantly ignite. The shockwave will destroy any airborne aircraft within thousands of miles. The resulting earthquake will race out at speeds approaching 1000 miles per hour. Most man-made objects in its path will be destroyed. More earthquakes will result. A tsunami ocean wave will travel 4000 miles in four hours. All Atlantic coastal areas will be destroyed. Ninety percent of the population of England lives at a elevation that will be inundated. The waves will wash under and over the ice caps to ravage the Pacific Rim and permanently raise the sea level by several feet. The destabilized poles could result in a planetary shift. The ocean will be heated to 120 degrees for 30 miles in diameter, resulting in hurricanes so strong they will be typed as "hypercanes" generating 500 mile-per-hour winds. The constant storms will drift westward, wiping out much of the eastern and southeastern United States. New storms will develop week after week until the water cools, eventually calming to the point of generating only hurricanes exceeding the forces of Hugo and Andrew. Scientists say, such hypercanes will reach 35 miles into the sky--well into the stratosphere, carrying water vapor and sea salts high into the atmosphere. The salts will block the sunlight reaching earth, and the chlorine from the sea salts may destroy the ozone layer. The dust, water and salts in the atmosphere will result in a nuclear winter. The harvests, if there are any, will be poor throughout the years 2000 and 2001. The years following will also be poor because there will be no more petrochemical-based fertilizer and insecticides, along with a lack of seed from previous poor harvests. During the 1800s, the population of the United States was over 90% rural. People provided for their own food, shelter, energy and clothes. Today, less that 5% of the population is rural, and everyone depends upon grocery stores and retailers to supply their needs. Nostradamus 1999: "Those happy to not be living in such a big city as Chicago and who feel safer in their distant suburbs would do well to consider how well they will be able to exist without gasoline. Will they be able to walk to work? How about getting to the shopping centers? And even if they do, will there be anything in the stores?" "As the heat from the impact is gradually dissipated the climate will begin to cool. The dust-cloud induced nuclear winter that will begin roughly fifteen months after the impact will freeze the ground well below the level at which municipal water supplies are buried. The resulting burst pipes will cripple municipal water supplies throughout the nation; particularly in the Midwest, where brutally cold winters frequently occur anyway. February 1996: a week of very cold winter weather in Chicago drove the frost line down to the four-foot level. Had it stayed bitterly cold just a few more days the frost would have reached to five feet, the level at which water mains are buried in the city. If the frost had reached the mains, many, perhaps even thousands, of pipes would have burst, leaving the entire city without water. The public works department does not have enough equipment, workers, or supplies to cope with that number of broken mains, and it would have been at least several months before water could be restored to the entire city. "If the system of interstate natural gas pipelines are not severed in the earthquake or destroyed in the firestorms, they too will fail. The February 1996 cold snap resulted in so much gas being drawn off at the consumer end that the natural gas utilities had difficulty keeping enough pressure in the pipes to keep the system functioning. A nuclear winter could well cause the entire system to collapse; at the minimum a severe rationing plan will be in effect. "Few people appreciate how fragile modern civilization is, how easily it can be disrupted. The impact will not only severely curtail import and export activity, end global communications, and disrupt transportation within the country, thus crippling the US economy, but it will also severely damage the distribution of electricity, natural gas, and clean water throughout much of the country. After the comet, disease more typical of Third World countries, such as dysentery and cholera, will abound among those left homeless. At this point the reader should stop and consider how easily a space rock could change their life: no heat, no electricity, no water, probably no employment, rationed gasoline, violent weather, etc. And this will occur in those areas lucky enough to escape the worst destruction." Difficult times have historically resulted in the rise of extremist authoritarian rulers. Stephan Paulus goes on for 170 more pages, describing the Nostradamus predictions for the rise of the Islamic state and a terrible war that will follow. Additional Concerns 1) The nuclear mass from Chernobyl is eating into the earth. Currently at 800 feet, it will reach an underground ocean at 2400 feet in 2004. Scientists don't know what will happen. At best it will probably poison one-third of the world's water supply. At worst it might result in one of the worst explosions the world has ever known, contaminating the upper atmosphere and triggering a nuclear winter. I have heard this from several sources, but I've been unable to find any official government verification. The primary source is said to be scientist Peter Marshall who attended a 1996 conference in Geniva. One hundred scientists met to decide what to do about the problem. Evidently, scientists have already tried to hit the nuclear mass with an electrical-arch generator, but succeeded only in breaking up the mass, not stopping it. 2) A fungus disease called karnal blunt attacks wheat and is now in eight US states, resulting in quarantine conditions. Because our wheat farmers feed the world, the potential repercussions are horrifying if the disease continues to spread.
