Info: www.VBMSE.com Too Much Healing Healer Patti Conklin could barely make it back to her chair. In the semi-darkened room I could make out her trembling form. She was clutching her stomach and breathing in short gasps. I looked at her, shaking my head. She shrugged her shoulders in response. The back-story: Last weekend, Patti and I appeared at the Louisiana Hypnotherapy Convention in New Orleans. We had been invited to present a workshop together titled, “Vibrational Spirit-Contact.” The program copy read: “Patti will begin the workshop by teaching the difference between passive and active vibration, and how to adjust and manipulate your own frequency. Then Dick will conduct a past-life regression to the incarnation most influencing your current life. Next he’ll direct you into Higher-Self to make contact with those who can assist you to fully understand the karmic implications of the past life (Spirit-Contact Therapy). While you remain in trance, Patti will raise the vibrational rate of the room and allow you time to directly communicate with your Spirit Guide, teachers and deceased loved ones. Dick and Patti will wrap it up with a Q&A sessions.” In the middle of the program Patti whispered to me, “Why don’t you tell them in Higher Self to raise their hands to chest level and release their dis-ease. I’ll ‘pull’ on the whole group, but I don’t think I can touch this many people.” When Patti “pulls,” she literally takes the disease out of your body and into hers. Then for the next two days she suffers as she “processes” the disease out of her body. There were about 50 people in this workshop, and I feared for her pulling from that many people. To touch each person and pull, greatly intensifies the process, which I feared would be beyond even Patti’s ability. I watched her do it once with 15 people, and she couldn’t stand up at the end of the session. Back to the workshop: Patti had greatly increased the vibrational level of the room. The deeply-hypnotized participants (all therapists) were in Higher-Self. My “Mind-Converter” CD pulsed in the background maintaining a Theta-level environment. I said into the microphone, “Bring your hands up to chest level, palms up, and on the count of three, begin to release your disease ... your discomfort ... your emotional pain. Patti will take it from you. Number one, number two, and number three. RELEASE.” We were sitting in side-by-side barstools at the front of the room. I expected Patti to remain sitting beside me. Instead, she got up and walked directly into the group, touching one person, then another and another, until she had touched everyone in the room. Then, with difficulty, she returned to her chair, trembling, clutching her stomach and breathing in short gasps. I looked at her, shook my head and quietly laughed. She shrugged her shoulders and smiled in response. I awakened the group with positive suggestions and called for a bathroom break. People crowded around Patti to tell her their pain was gone. They were dismayed, delighted, and they wanted to ask questions. Before the next presenter took the stage, I led Patti out of the ballroom to the hotel bar where she could order a raw steak and a beer to ease into the recuperation process. She had not planned to touch the people and pull, but at the last minute she felt driven to do just that. Watching her now hunched in an overstuffed chair, wincing in pain, I questioned the wisdom of her decision. “What if I just pulled cancer out of someone in that room?” she said. “My purging would be a small price to pay, don’t you agree?” I agreed.
