The 12 Chakra Centers

My guest on this week’s radio show was Maureen Caudill, author of “Suddenly Psychic -- A Skeptic’s Journey.” Maureen had a successful career as a scientist working as a Dept. of Defense contractor, until she discovered her abilities as a psychic while attending a weeklong residential retreat at The Monroe Institute in Virginia. Her book is the story of her journey from one world to another.

I read Maureen’s story in preparation for the interview, and I was fascinated by many of the ideas she shares. One that we talked about on the air was in regard to the seven Chakra-Energy Centers in the human body. Maureen claims there are five more chakras that few people talk about.

“The eighth chakra is located just above the top of the head and appears as a flat spinning disc. Cyndi Dale (author of many books on the chakras) considers this chakra the portal in and out of current space-time. People focusing on the eighth chakra often have images of other worlds, and many also find their Akashic records -- the records of everything we’ve seen and done in our lives.”

 “The ninth chakra is the soul chakra and it is located as a vortex just above the eighth Chakra.” This chakra is considered to be the home of the “genes” of the soul. It transmits information from lifetime to lifetime.

“The tenth chakra, the grounding chakra, is located just under our feet and connects us to the earth. It brings earth energy into the physical and energy bodies, and emits wastes, hurts, and other damages to the earth. In some sense, you can think of the tenth chakra as a set of lungs, breathing in good, clean energy and breathing out waste products and stale, used energy.

“The eleventh chakra actually consists of a set of vortexes in the palms of each hand and in the soles of the feet. This chakra proves a mechanism for absorbing the raw energy that the various physical and energetic bodies need. It’s a bit like an energetic digestive tract, taking in energy in a raw form and converting it into a form usable by the body.

“Finally, the twelfth chakra is a complete secondary chakra system consisting of some 32 separate points scattered all over the body. Many of these are associated with various organs such as the spleen, liver, gall bladder, and so on. Others are associated with physical structures like the arms, elbows, wrists, knees, and throat. This is the chakra that  makes us human, linking our specific physical body to the primary chakra system -- chakras one through 11 -- and to the various energy bodies that are part of us.”
