Metaphysical Solutions

Case 1.

Jonathan Durant: Age 32, computer software designer. He was above average in looks -- casually dressed and wore the latest designer sunglasses. We shook hands as he entered my office. I gestured to the recliner chair. He sat down and checked it out by leaning back. We small talked for a couple minutes. He had driven over from his office in Pasadena, and the traffic wasn’t as bad as he expected. 

“What are we going to work on, Jonathan?” I said.

“I have confidence in most areas of my life,” he said. “Especially my work. But when it comes to meeting women ...” he paused and slowly shook his head, looking down. “I ... I even rehearse things to say, but it always comes off that way. Because I’m not relaxed, the woman can’t really relax and our conversation is stiff. Women always seem glad to get away from me.”

I sat in a chair to the front and side of him, taking notes. “These are women you’re interested in dating, right?” He nodded. “What about other women, say the women you work with?”

“No problem at all. It’s just when I’m out in a club, or at some music or sports event. Or when I’ve made contact on a web dating site, and we’re meeting for coffee or dinner. I’ve stopped making dinner dates, because that stretches into a painful amount of time for both of us.”

The pre-session interview took 25-minutes and I gathered all the information that I felt was pertinent. I explained the hypnosis process and told Jonathan that I’d like to begin with a regression back to the cause of his lack of confidence with women. “We may find it is due to something that happened earlier in this life or in a past life.” I quoted Dr. David Viscott: “All feelings come from a definite event, even if that event cannot be clearly defined or located in time.”

“We’ll explore the cause. Then I’ll bring you back to the present time, and I will move you up into Higher-Self. At this level, when questioned, you’ll have an awareness of your soul history. And it’s here that we should be able to take a major step in resolving the issue. Do you have a working relationship with your Spirit Guide” I asked.

Jonathan did not, but he assured me that he was very open to the concept. “I’ll introduce you to your guide if that’s all right. Then after the Higher-Self portion of our session, I will give you clinical suggestions and a post-hypnotic conditioned response technique, which you can use to generate extra confidence when you need it.”

I gave Jonathan the opportunity to ask questions, and we began the session. He reclined in the chair. I turned on a mind-electronics sound, filling the room with a vibration that helps to ease my clients into a deep state of hypnosis. I relaxed his body, opened and balanced his chakra centers and counted him down. “And you’re relaxed and ease Jonathan ... and you feel deep. And you’re now going to move back in time to the cause of your present anxiety when talking with women you’re romantically interested in. You may go back in time to an earlier time in your present life, or a past life ... wherever the cause may be.”

I counted him through a tunnel, back in time. “What do you see and what are you doing?”

Jonathan hesitated a moment, not used to communicating from this deep level of consciousness. “I ... I’m talking to someone who is dressed in a costume, but I can’t hear what we’re taking about.”

“Is the person you’re talking to, male or female?”

“Female ... and maybe it isn’t a costume, but she’s dressed is a very old, odd style.”

He didn’t know if he was male or female, so I had him look down at his feet and tell me if he was wearing, boots, shoes, sandals, moccasins, or if he was barefoot. He described shoes, and when I had him step outside of himself to see what he looked like, he described himself as, “Male, average height and weight, probably 35 years of age and wearing a well-worn suit ... like people in England a long time ago.” 

“I’d like to explore the outcome of this conversation,” I said. “On the count of three you will move forward in time, one, two, and three.” Jonathan began to tremble. “Without pain, and without emotion, tell me what is happening.”

“THEY’RE GOING TO BURN ME ALIVE,” he said, so loud it shocked me. Then he sobbed.

I immediately removed him from the situation, brought him back to the present time, remaining in a deep hypnotic sleep. “You’re now back in the present, and I’m talking directly to you Jonathan.” I directed him up into Higher-Self, where he met his Spirit Guide. With his guide’s help we pieced the story together.

During the time of the Inquisition (mid 1500s to early 1800s), Jonathan was Jewish and had lived in Portugal, not England. The woman he saw himself talking to, testified against him. That woman was not a player in his current incarnation.

The next step was a tearful forgiving of the woman who was responsible for his death. When you know the cause and can release the effect (through forgiveness), you can set yourself free.

Next, while deep in hypnosis, I switched from Spiritual Hypnosis to Clinical Hypnosis. I made Jonathan a custom CD with suggestions such as: From this moment on, you are confident when meeting women. Meeting women is an easy experience which you fully enjoy. Upon meeting a new woman, you project an inner warmth and friendliness. You are self-assured, self-confident. You project self-confidence to every woman you meet. It’s easy for you. You also project independence when meeting women. At the same time, you’re open and approachable and sensitive ... and you allow others to know. You like women and you’re confident inwhat you have to offer when you meet them. You have much to offer. You accept this. You’re now ready willing and able to meet an ideal lover ... an ideal woman. What you believe you can achieve, and you now believe you can confidently walk up to any woman and start a conversation. You take control. You’re confident and self-assured. Etc.

I also gave him a post-hypnotic, conditioned response suggestion that was phrased: “Any time you want to experience even more confidence when meeting women, all you have to do is touch your index finger to the tip of your thumb and say the word, “Confidence.” The word, “Confidence” is your key word for conditioned response, and when you use this technique you will feel a wave of confidence flow through your body and mind, and you will feel the courage to walk right up to any woman and begin to talk to them. And every time you hear this suggestion and every time you use your “Confidence” programming, it will become more and more effective. And this suggestion is accepted on every level of your body and mind, and so it is.”

This session was conducted in my Westlake Village, CA office (Los Angeles area), October, 2009. It took two hours and Jonathan has informed me that he easily meets women today. His real name has been changed and the case is used with his permission. The session could just as easily been conducted on the phone. Over half of my sessions are phone sessions.
