Synchronicity Or Avatar Intervention?

SATURDAY: I’m in the process of conducting past-life regression sessions as part of ongoing research for a book on love and destiny. TV director Katherine Brooks was a recent subject. After exploring a previous incarnation in detail, I instructed her to move up into Higher-Self -- a mental level allowing us to quickly draw upon awareness of her soul history. At this level, she responded to my questions in a thick East-Indian accent. We quickly established she was channeling Babaji, an avatar Katherine claims to communicate with regularly.

SUNDAY: I relaxed in the afternoon by gathering a stack of books to peruse. Publishers often send copies of titles they’d like us to offer our readers. So we usually have hundreds of unread books to pick from. I picked several unfamiliar titles. The first book from the stack was titled, “Nothing In This Book Is True, But It’s Exactly How Things Are,” by Bob Frissell. A credit card slip as bookmark told me Tara had purchased it at a local health center. Opening the book at random, my eyes landed upon the words, “I learned that Babaji had materialized a new adult body in 1979 ...” The next six pages were about the holy man.

Coincidence?

The next book in my stack was titled, “The Initiation,” by Donald Schnell. It was signed to me by the author, and I recalled my son Scott giving it to me months earlier. Schnell has stopped by Scott’s “Malibu Shaman” metaphysical store and asked him to give the book to me. I had been far too busy to read it at the time and forgot about it.

To my surprise, the book was about Schnell’s spiritual journey to India and a transformational meeting with Babaji.

This was beyond coincidence. Synchronicity? Or maybe Avatar intervention?

I decided to settle on synchronicity, because I’m not the guru-following type. Swiss psychologist Carl Jung coined the term synchronicity, meaning “the simultaneous occurrence of two meaningful but not causally connected events.”

One of the ways our soul pushes us in new directions is through synchronistic connections. But such events usually tend to occur during times of confusion or transition. I’m not aware of any confusion in my current life that could relate to Babaji.

A hundred years ago a scientist was staying in a house where two clocks always kept the exact same time -- second to second. One clock was on the wall of the dining room, the other clock on the other side of the wall in the parlor. The scientist decided to set one of the clocks five minutes ahead. But within 24 hours, both clocks had aligned again. He conducted further experiments, but eventually both clocks would always align to the same rhythm. The man decided the vibration of the larger clock was feeding through the wall and keeping the smaller clock in tune -- a subtle influencing.

Maybe a similar rhythm or energy generates a subtle influence causing people and things to be drawn together in meaningful ways, because our soul wants us to pay attention.

But I’m still trying to figure out if I’m just confused or if my soul wants me to do something in regard to Babaji. Katherine and I are going to further explore and I’ll keep you posted.
