Walk-In Or Wanderer?

I conducted an altered-state “Walk-In & Wanderer Probe” at a recent Scottsdale, Arizona workshop and in a Sedona seminar session. The unusual results proved to be almost identical to sessions held seven years ago in cities ranging from Los Angeles to Dallas to New York City. 

Many New Agers don’t feel like they belong here on earth. Intuitively, they feel the earth is an alien place and their true home is elsewhere. In his book “From Elsewhere,” Scott Mandelker writes in depth about the phenomena. Brad Steiger has been writing about the same thing for years, beginning with his “Star People” series.

Most of those who feel alien do not connect their deep sense of being different with non-earthly origin. These are people born of earthly parents, who incarnated to fulfill an earthly purpose. They seem to fall into two basic categories: Wanderers and Walk-Ins.

WANDERERS are souls who have incarnated from a more evolved civilization (maybe a different frequency of time/space) with memories of their identity and origin blocked -- just as memories of past lives are blocked until investigated with metaphysical techniques.

Wanderers volunteered for the purpose of serving the humanity of a planet in need of help. This service may be subtle, or the Wanderer may be destined to become a major influence. But once born, they are as ordinary as everyone else. So it takes real effort for them to realize their true identity. If they don’t remember, they can easily become entangled in earthly snares and never fulfill their plan.

CHARACTERISTICS of the Wanderers: They were probably thought of as odd as a child. They are genuinely kind, gentle, peaceful, non-aggressive people. They don’t seem to be hung up on money. They tend to have a hard time recognizing evil and trickery. They cherish great ideals and have a strong interest in metaphysics, and maybe UFOs. All their life they’ve felt alienated.

WALK-INS are souls who have participated in a “soul transfer” with another human being who wished to depart from the physical world without dying and without incurring additional karma. The departing soul often feels overpowered and incapable of handling life.

The Walk-In steps in for humanitarian purposes -- choosing to clean up the problems of the departing soul. After this task is completed, the Walk-In is free to pursue his or her own service agenda.

After not conducting the “Walk-In & Wanderer Probe” for years, I wondered if the results would remain the same. The session was part of a seminar series Tara and I once conducted in cities over the country. To my surprise, almost exactly half of the participants in every seminar perceived themselves to be Wanderers, while only one or two would be Walk-Ins. The same percentages came up again recently in Scottsdale and Sedona.

Recalling my days of working in seminars with author Ruth Montgomery, everyone wanted to be a Walk-In, but only one or two in each session perceived this to be true for them. So the sessions were boring for everyone else. Yet in the same seminars, all the participants perceived a vivid “separate self” in the “Parallel-Life Transfer” sessions. So people did not make up their perceptions.

I’m convinced that half the New Agers are from elsewhere. This doesn’t change anything. It’s just what is. But it is interesting, and if you’re one of “them,” you may want to learn more.
