LETTERS TO DICK & TARA Zapping ADD Dear Dick & Tara, Recently my seven year-old son was having difficulty progressing in his reading skills. A physician determined he had Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and recommended amphetamines. I have an aversion to powerful drugs in a young healthy person and sought alternatives. Recalling the great success I experienced with the Zapper, I sought to build a solution. I played your Zapper CD in the background in conjunction with some random visual displays in Microsoft Media Player, and overlaid a series of verbal text with dispersed audio messages. Accelerated Healing Dear Richard and Tara, My husband Don took Richard’s Professional Hypnosis Seminar and I also attended the Sedona Healing Seminar last year. I underwent a hysterectomy in August. Don did some pre-op hypnosis before the surgery and a couple times since my discharge. I also worked with your “Healing Acceleration” video. When I went back to the doctor two weeks after the surgery, he told me my incision looked like the incision of a six-week post-op patient. Sending Don to your Hypnotist Training Seminar was one of the best things we could have done. I just wanted you to know what a positive influence your books and seminars have had on our lives. Astral Projection E-mail: I have purchased Dick’s CD on astral projection. It works, that’s for sure. I have just tried it and my astral body was about to leave my physical body. I saw a bright white light and even heard a voice say, “I want to show you something.” I halted the process because I felt like I was becoming unconscious and feared that I might not be able to return to my body. I feel compelled to do it again but I’m seeking reassurance. I’m just amazed at how real it felt and how I had to stop it happening. I welcome your comments. Hepatitis C E-mail: The year was 1994 -- I was doing home-health nursing and got stuck with a needle and came down with Hepatitis C ... and became gravely ill. The MD said, “You’re either going to live or die.” That was all I was offered by Western medicine. I stumbled upon your “Healing Force” tape and used it everyday until I wore it out. “Spirit Guide’s Help” E-Mail: Meeting you again at the Body Mind Spirit Expo in Culver City, inspired me to get reacquainted with your excellent books and tapes. I first worked with you in 1982-4 in Sedona and LA. After a nice discussion with Tara, I went to the Malibu Shaman and bought a number of your books. My favorite is “With Your Spirit Guide’s Help.” What a wonderful book; it made me want to follow your footsteps in Scotland. I too have a Celtic background. You and your family are inspirational, and since I love to travel, the book gave me an exciting new viewpoint to travel with in the future. You live your beliefs and the book is very humorous and informational. Please write another spiritual travelogue. Life Affected Dramatically Hi, A friend gave me three of your tapes about eight months ago. I’ve been using them and my life has been positively affected dramatically! Don’t Have the Foggiest Notion E-mail: Hi, I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofacia Pain Complex. I have had these symptons since I was 12 years-old after having polio. Three years ago I had to quit my work because of cognitive dysfunctions. The pain and lack of sleep drove me back to the medical doctors and after many tests I was diagnosed with FM/MP and put on a half-dozen pills. I tried all the meds and finally found one that would keep me asleep, if I could get to sleep. But when I relaxed, my muscles would go into spasms. I mentioned this problem to Kathy Lynn Douglas, one of my e-mail friends, and she sent me two of your CDs. I thought the entire thing sounded goofy, but I was willing to try anything. This was about two weeks ago. Now, I take my meds, put on my pjs, hook up the Walkman and within seconds, I am sound asleep. I do not have the foggiest notion what your tapes have on them or why they work, but I wouldn’t be without them. I am so grateful to Kathy for sending them and so grateful to you for making this all possible. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Rose Locke
Spirit Guide Intervention E-mail: I have a permanent head and neck injury from a car accident that has required nine surgeries just this year alone. As a chronic pain patient, I have a spinal cord stimulator implanted in my brain for the nerve damage to try to reduce my need for dangerous pain medications just to function. At first the pain was so excruciating that there was nearly no intervention that would cut it without absolutely putting me to sleep. Even now I suffer from occipital neuralgia, migraines and cluster headaches in the same small section of my brain. When I first received your “White Light Meditation” CD, I’d been experiencing a cluster migraine headache for nearly 10 days without relief. I hadn’t been eating because of the pain, or getting much sleep for the same reason. When I put on the CD, it allowed my spirit guide to step in and assist in providing significant pain relief. I was completely amazed by its success. I was also dreading it would wear off and the pain would return. However, I got almost 12 hours of relatively pain free living just after the first session. By working with the same session daily, I have been able to significantly reduce my need for medication, and I have been a lot more functional and pleasant to be with.
