The new year offers opportunities to create wealth and success, lose weight, or reinvent yourself in any number of ways. My wife faithfully creates her list of desired resolutions every year and she tells me she has performed this ritual since being in her twenties. Roberta cheats a little by asking her guide to help her see future events in her third eye, then uses her imagination to feel as if they have already happened. She thanks God and Spirit, asking for a benevolent outcome, promising she will do her part if the Universe does theirs. I’ve taught these same steps over and over again in many seminars most of you are familiar with. Most of my programs are geared toward using your imagination to create your desires into reality.
Imagination is more powerful than willpower. As an example, lay a two-by-four board flat on the floor and walk along it. You will find it easy to do. You imagine you can do it and thus you are able to do it. Now consider how you might feel if the board were placed between two skyscrapers and you had to walk along it. You would probably be fearful and imagine falling, so you would probably fall, regardless of how much willpower you exerted. The board did not change at all; only your viewpoint of the board changed.
Change begins with imagination, and imagination is the most powerful reprogramming technique. While in meditation imagine your life as you desire it to be. Create vivid mental movies which are fantasies in which you feel and sense everything that is happening—your emotions and the reactions of others who are observing your victory or accomplishments. Fantasize your objective as an already accomplished fact. This way your subconscious fully comprehends the goal and can begin to manipulate circumstances that will eventually bring the goal into manifestation.
Roberta and I wish each of you a happy, prosperous, and healthy 2020.
