The following article is an excerpt from Dick’s new “MEDITATION 74-Minute Course on CD.” The actual course includes considerably more information and a complete meditation session.
To understand the true nature of reality and the potential of meditation, I would like to being by exploring our multidimensionality and the interrelatedness of all things. We’re all familiar with the Physical Domain, this is our known world of three-dimensional physical reality and the five senses. It consists of material objects with firm boundaries, and it appears to move through time from the past to the present to the future. This level of existence is governed by cause and effect.
The next level of existence is called the Quantum Domain which opens the door to a larger reality. We have to begin with an exploration of the mind. According to brain/mind researchers, the mind is not a thing ... but is instead a process that runs parallel to physical processes in the brain. Or, maybe our mind is inside of us and outside of us at the same time. I’ll explain what I mean.
Joseph McMoneagle was once the top remote viewer for the CIA. For years, he and many others used altered-state mind-projection techniques to gather data for the United States Government. In his book, Mind Trek¸ McMoneagle says, “Some will argue that the mind resides in the brain because that is where some believe we store all the information we know. However, as a remote viewer, I will categorically state that is not necessarily true. I collect, analyze, and report information every day that I have never read, seen, or known prior to the experiment. It would seem that my mind is collecting it from somewhere else. “
McMonegale goes on to state that there is a somewhere else ... and our minds not only have access to it, but may in fact at least partially reside within it.
I realize not everyone knows about the CIA’s remote-viewing division, but it’s now general knowledge for those desiring to learn more on the Web or through the many books written about the experiments. Basically, remote viewing amounts to trained viewers gathering data of value to the intelligence community.
Okay ... back to brain and mind: Your brain is your hard wiring and through it you receive information regarding physical reality. But your brain alone cannot access your spiritual side, or non-physical reality. Your mind is required for this. So, you have two tools for collecting information, with the mind being the higher-functioning tool. Your brain runs the autonomic functions of your body, regulating everything that is not chemically self-regulating. But your brain can be overridden by your mind.
Bio-feedback and monitoring has established that your mind can control your blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and even healing rates. And in light of the remote viewing results and experiments I’ve run for years in my own seminars, your brain gets new data from within you while it is also attaining information from outside physical reality .... from somewhere else.
Research on Near-Death Experiences also supports the mind being inside of us and outside of us at the same time by transcending physical consciousness. In such situations the experience often takes place during a medical emergency or as the result of an accident. Someone may have suddenly died with all brain-wave activity ceasing. But when brought back to life, they report of witnessing the entire ordeal, while floating above their body. Often they can relate conversations between the doctors and nurses.
Okay, now before further exploring mind potentials of quantum domain, let’s look at what is known about the brain. I know you’ve heard of the left brain, right brain differences. Left brain is considered the logical dominant hemisphere. It’s concerned with the details of life—speech and organization.
The non-dominant right hemisphere focuses more upon an overview. This is the intuitive, creative side of your personality. It’s comfortable with paradox and does not require logical assumptions to follow a course of action. Those “hunches” you experience come from the right side of your brain .... and maybe this is somehow related to a connection to your mind, which is receiving information from somewhere else.
The book I have promised everyone should be out this year. I want to share one chapter of what I feel is a powerful book based on Roberta and I working together for the past eight years, using her skills and my Spirit Contact Therapy™.
CHAPTER TITLE: TWO KARMIC WHEELS
Have you ever noticed, that some of the most deserving people seem to avoid karmic retribution more often than not? You watch them do things and think, “Wow, he’s going to have karma to pay for doing that!” But you notice that he doesn’t seem to have to pay the piper. You think to yourself, “If I had done that, my karma would have come due the following week.”
My wife Roberta mentioned her instant-karma whenever she lost her patience while driving. Straight away she finds herself behind a slow driver; or when she is frustrated with something going on, her guide has gently reminded her it will bother her until it doesn’t. On the opposite side, a couple people we know who are sociopaths seem to be living the high life without consequences for their actions.
Not too long ago, Roberta began to question my whole concept of Karma because she wondered why “all the good people,” as she described them, seemed have their actions come back to them within a very short period of time and how the worst among us were not faced with their consequential tests sometimes for years. Her Spirit Guide pointed out that “the good people” were on a different Karmic Wheel than “the bad people.” There are, in fact, two sets of laws that govern Karma; one that is centered around love and the other, fear.
New information entering your mind supersedes previous information of a similar nature. Once a pathway has been established in you brain, the information it contains will remain unless or until new information overrides the old.
For example, while horseback ride, you fall off and hurt yourself. If that is the end of your equestrian experience, you have been programmed negatively. Instructors know this and always urge new riders to climb back on the horse immediately after fall off. This is an innate, organic process that does not require your conscious attention or active participation because the basic processes of the brain are in an endless state of growth and reorganization.
This awareness can be used in altered-state programming because your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a fantasy and a real event. If perhaps you suffer from a fear of crowds, go into meditation and vividly imagine yourself being perfectly relaxed while in a crowd. Your mind will accept this as reality and invoke the Law of Experience. After a few weeks or months, you will overcome the old fearful programming.

Because life has become so complicated, many people seek to simplify their existence in order to escape some of their pressures. It is comparatively easy to have few possessions and to be content with less. Many saints and gurus have chosen this path. But outward simplification isn’t an answer unless you can change inwardly.
Your mind is a complicated network of interlocking and timeworn beliefs that are creating your current reality. When you can attain freedom from these beliefs you will experience simplicity, because what you are internally always manifests externally. As a simple person you would see much more directly than a complicated person, and you would become more sensitive to your surroundings, to the world, and to the problems that must be resolved.
One example of simplifying a problem in your life would be to find a simple solution to a problem that you have not been able to find a solution to. In our lives, Roberta, having been a chef, wants to cook nutritious meals for us but found that she didn’t have the time with everything else she was doing. Our first solution was to go out to eat, sometimes two times a day. This idea ended up costing her more time, so her initial solution was still complicating her life. Lily, Roberta’s Guide pointed her to an ad for organic meal home-delivery, which ended up being a very simple solution for us.
Krisnamurti said, “Our problems—social, environmental, political, religious—are so complex that we can solve them only by being simple, not by becoming extraordinarily erudite and clever.”
What is one thing you can do today to make your life simplier?

New beginnings are always a step into the unknown. Your present environment may be one of chaos and total confusion, but it will evolve into a state of peace and growth. More than ever, this is a time to maintain your principles and draw upon your awareness of higher knowledge. Deal with your problems one at a time and act on the most important considerations first. There is no need to feel overpowered. You have the power and ability to resolve the disorder and establish a superior situation in the future.
New beginnings are an ideal time to move from an attached mind to a detached one. The vast majority of people on this planet live out their lives knowing only the attached mind, which fluctuates from positive to negative as outside conditions change—from happiness and joy down through neutrality, to the basement of emotions: depression, anger, hostility and fear.
A detached mind allows fluctuation only from positive to neutral as outside conditions change. You accept all the joy and happiness life has to offer, but your state of mind drops no further than neutral because you understand you can’t control others or manipulate unalterable realities.

Any time you get upset with someone, it is a self-created karmic test to see how much you’ve learned and whether you’ll need to be tested in the future. Did you respond to the situation with compassion or neutrality? Did you respond with anger and negativity? Until you learn that negative, fear-based responses don’t work, similar future situations are assured.
My wife, Roberta, has a very wise Spirit Guide who said this to her one day: “It will bother you until it doesn’t.”
Be aware that you get upset because you had expectations of approval or control—of attaining the approval of others or controlling their actions or reactions. Simply stated, your expectations conflict with what is. It would be impossible for you to be upset about anything if your expectations were not in conflict with the current situation.
Ask yourself, “Where do I get the right to expect others to be the way I want them to be?” You don’t want them to expect you to live up to their expectations, do you? In the future, every time you start to get upset, remind yourself that “It will bother you until it doesn’t,” that your expectations are in conflict with what is.

The longer the advance time you can invest in your success, the greater the payoff will be. All the extra energy and effort will pay off down the line, if for no other reason than that there is much less competition.
Most people are oriented to an immediate payoff. They can’t financially afford to wait, or they aren’t emotionally capable of being patient. It’s estimated that only one person in ten will put effort into anything unless the payoff is within a year’s time. It follows, then, that only one of the ten is emotionally capable of investing time, energy, money, or sacrifice into something that won’t be profitable for five years of longer.
Meditate upon your willingness to invest the effort and energy for a future payoff. Consider writing this simple reminder and putting it in places where you’ll see it regularly: “I spend each moment doing the most productive thing I can.” Let this statement from you to yourself become your affirmation for success.

Although you probably don’t realize it, strong behavioral patters have been established in your past. A good place to begin exploration is in your primary relationship patterns that continue to emerge. For example, the moment your mate is critical of you, you close down and refuse to communicate. Or when you are finally assured of your mate’s love and dedication to the relationship, you become bored. there are common patterns of manipulation, including resistance, affairs, neglect and more.
An example of a career pattern is allowing only a limited level of success before doing something to cancel it out. Another is allowing frustrations to build up until a change is enacted.
If you discover strong life patterns that work against you, realize that they will continue to surface and rule your life until you make a conscious decision to change. To alter your patterns of behavior, you must break the fearful chains of illusion that keep you bound to undesirable past programming. It begins with awareness and a self-actualized viewpoint.

You search hard for happiness, but how can you find it by searching for it? Happiness comes from within, the natural result of what you do in life. The more you spread joy to others, the more it will come back to you. If what you’ve been doing has not generated the joy and happiness you desire, it is time to change your approach. Stop searching. Stop desiring. Just give. Practice kindness. Share yourself. Give without expectations and it will be returned a hundred times over. Everything in life comes back to you.
Compassion is a feeling of deep sympathy or sorrow for another’s suffering, accompanied by a desire to alleviate the pain or remove its cause.
Ideally, when you experience compassion for another human being, you can help by creating conditions that will allow that person to alleviate his or her own pain.
The Salvation Army served 27,167,320 people last year. Roberta and I are asking that you help them reach those who are in need this holiday season.

When you are happy you are also more likely to be healthy—you have fewer physical ills, you age slower and live longer. If you stop to think about it, you’ll realize that just about every decision you make is based on what you think will bring you more happiness. This might best be defined as a state of well-being—one that is filled with positive feelings toward yourself and the world.
One the most important ingredients of a happy life is to love yourself. High self-esteem is the cornerstone of happiness and mental health and one of the best ways to increase your self-esteem is to value being more than belonging. This means that you value who you are and what is right and true for you more than you worry about being accepted by society and what other people think. This can earn you the label of a rebel and will often generate resistance from those whose self-esteem binds them to the dictates of society.
But don’t take their negative input personally. If you feel criticized, or someone says something negative to you, don’t take it as an attack on your self-worth. The idea is to begin transforming the way you experience your life. Realize that what someone else says or does, short of physical violence, does not affect you. Other people see you through their veil of old programming and you see them the same way. Neither side can be truly objective and accurately reflect the way things are.
Make it alright with yourself to let other people think they’re right and not care. For a person with truly high-self-esteem, being is more important than belonging.
A piece of advice that may apply for the upcoming family and friends gatherings at Thanksgiving. Peace and light from both Roberta and I.
